Child Food Education
Global Gastronomy Museum offers long-term food education programs for children and families. Through exhibitions, interactive experiences, games, workshops and family activities, children discover food, culture and the world through play.
Helping Children Understand Food and the World Through Experience
Our program emphasizes family interaction, sensory experiences, cultural exploration and creative inspiration.
We want children not only to "eat food," but also to understand where food comes from, appreciate different culinary cultures, build connections with food through hands-on experiences, and create memories of "sharing" and "culture" through family interaction.
Dual-Height Exhibition System
The same exhibition content is presented simultaneously for children and parents/adults, offering different levels of information and interactive experiences.
Understanding the World Through Play and Senses
Lower-height areas focus on images, games, illustrations, sensory interaction, small tasks and interactive mechanisms, allowing children to understand food and culture in their own way.
Interactive Questions
"What do people eat for breakfast in this country?" "Smell this — what spice is it?" "Which bread would you most like to try?"
Interactive Mechanisms
Flip boards, scent boxes, drawer mechanisms, projection interactions, food models, stamp tasks, sound interactions
Richer Cultural Context for Parents
Higher areas provide more complete cultural background, historical information, dietary migration, social issues, regional culture and the relationship between food and cities, allowing parents to enjoy their own reading and reflection experience while accompanying their children.
In-Depth Topics
How does food spread with migration? Why do different regions develop different staple food cultures? How did the spice trade change the world?
Cultural Connections
How does the family table influence cultural identity? The relationship between food and climate, religion, and geography
Content Designed for Every Age
Different age groups correspond to different content designs and interaction methods, ensuring every child receives the most suitable experience.
Hands-On Creation Together
Through "co-creation," children and parents build memories of food and culture through participation, collaboration and creativity.
Little Pizza Workshop
Children and parents make dough, choose toppings, decorate and bake together, creating their own "family pizza."
Handmade Pasta Workshop
Families make handmade pasta in different shapes and colors, while learning about pasta cultures around the world.
World Bread Laboratory
Experience fermentation, kneading, bread shaping and spice & grain cognition through different national bread cultures.
Spice Exploration Lab
Recognize spices from different countries through scent, color and interactive games, and create your own spice blend.
Dessert Decoration Workshop
Including icing painting, cookie decoration, chocolate creation and food color experiments to encourage free creativity.
